The revamped logo was unveiled in Wellington on Wednesday morning.
The traditional huia design has been altered so the bird faces upwards, with aqua, mustard and orange colours replacing purple.
Te Matatini chairman Selwyn Parata says the huia bird is facing upwards to show that the organisation is heading in that direction and becoming more dynamic.
He says the new colours are vibrant, and of this generation saying the logo is refreshing and displays the contemporary nature of kapa haka today.
The brand was created by Maori company, KE designs, at a cost of $6000.
However, that figure could increase once the organisation brands its permanent headquarters, which are yet to be finalised.
