Ngati Koroki Kahukura has told the Maori Affairs Select Committee it wants to review arrangements for Maungatautari in its Treaty settlement.
The Waikato iwi signed its Deed of Settlement with the Crown in 2012, which includes the vesting of the Maungatautari scenic reserve into the community.
As part of the legislating process, the committee heard submissions on the deed in Cambridge on Wednesday.
The tribe's lead negotiator, Linda Te Aho, says the submissions were mostly supportive, however one called for a review of the mountain redress in six-months.
She says that will give time to consider Waitangi Tribunal reports, and other settlements involving mounting redress, saying that information may enhance the arrangements around the return of Maungatautari.
