Over at Radio New Zealand Concert, Clarissa Dunn looks at NZ Opera's intern programme.
They definitely get to work on roles, they get language coaching, which is absolutely part of the programme now. They still tour, and they also do a sort of "black box" tour, and you know, they're much more involved individually in programmes. They're not just in the chorus, they're not just doing the minor principal roles, and they're not just understudying roles. They're actually doing their on performance programme outside of that.
