An article in the Columbia Journalism Review has hit out at news coverage of millennials and stories that misrepresent the generation's attitudes.
The column, by Jesse Singal, looks at articles published in the Wall Street Journal and Huffington Post about millennials bringing their parents to job interviews. But Singal says that when broken down, the statistics aren't actually that shocking at all.
Singal says soft stories feed an impression of millennials as a "neurotic, over-nurtured man – or womanchild who just can't grow up" while ignoring more pressing issues that face the generation.
