Fiji police are investigating the contents of a video posted online which appeared to show fishermen being fired upon at sea.
The video, which has not been verified, appeared to be filmed from the deck of a fishing boat as it came across the wreckage of a small boat with men in the water.
The 10 minute video which appeared online on Monday showed three men in the water by their upturned canoe as the vessel moved in close to the wreckage.
Several shots were fired at one of the men until he appeared to be hit and stopped moving, the shots were then fired at the other men, who also appeared to be killed.
A spokesman for Fiji police said a member of the public alerted them to the video, and an investigation had been launched.
