Gabe Davidson and Rochelle Harrison are aiming to create a business that’s sustainable for everyone involved.
The pair opened the Wellington Chocolate Factory about 10 months ago. The factory is open to the public and Davidson says there’s absolute transparency in their process.
“Anybody seven days a week can walk in. They can see the beans on one side and then they can watch us make the chocolate, right from the bean to the bar. There’s nothing to hide.”
The retail price of the chocolate is higher than other brands, though Davidson says they pay a higher price to bean suppliers than other companies.
“This is a new wave of chocolate making finding the best beans means that we’ll be helping farmers and bringing new flavours and experiences to chocolate lovers,” he says.
