A 6.5 earthquake has been recorded off the east coast of the North Island.
The earthquake at 11.33am was centred 155 km east of Te Araroa at a depth of 31 kilometres.
Mum in Gisborne says it was a gentle, rolling #eqnz and that everyone is fine.
