Disgraced former X Factor NZ judge Natalia Kills has taken to Twitter asking for forgiveness from contestant Joe Irvine as two new X Factor NZ judges are announced.
Kills said she's relieved to finally “break the silence” over the abusive tirade that saw her and husband Willy Moon sacked from the show on Monday.
The UK-born singer told Irvine he was “disgusting” and “artistically atrocious”. Moon then chimed in, saying: “I feel like you’re going to stitch someone’s skin to your face and then kill everybody in the audience.”
Today Kills, who left the country with her husband earlier in the week, tweeted: “I was encouraged to be outspoken and things got out of hand. Joe, I hope you can forgive me.”
Moon also tweeted a message to his followers admitting “it went too far”. “The show encourages judges to be forthright and highly opinionated...I never intended to single anyone out”.
At last! I am relieved that I'm finally able to break the silence... xoxo pic.twitter.com/9ubfgJjjZm

The pair's tweets came an hour after Natalie Bassingthwaighte and Shelton Woolwright were announced as replacement judges for X Factor NZ.
Bassingthwaighte is an Australian musician and actress, known for her role on soap opera Neighbours. She previously fronted electro-pop band Rogue Traders and saw success over the ditch as a solo artist. She was also a judge on The X Factor Australia back in 2011.
Woolwright rose to prominence as the drummer for Auckland band Blindspott and currently plays for I Am Giant.
