DJ Mustard: Known for his work behind the boards of Tyga’s ‘Rack City’, Big Sean’s ‘I Don’t F*ck With You’ and Tinashe’s ‘2 On’, DJ Mustard is in the country for a quick two-date tour of the country. Following his show in Christchurch last night, he plays Club Kong in Auckland tonight. Tickets are still available here, if it’s your type of thing.

Moses: Six-piece hazy psych-rock act Moses have just unveiled their second EP, and to celebrate they’re on a five-date tour that continues this week with shows in Auckland and Katikati. Based out of Wellington, the band also have upcoming shows in Christchurch and Dunedin next week. Details here.

 
Jakob: Ahead of their impending European tour, last year’s Taite Prize winners Jakob have lined up two quick stops around the country, beginning this Saturday in Wellington. The Hawkes Bay trio also play the Kings Arms next weekend and they promise new merch and, more importantly, new songs. Get your tickets here.

Hannahband and Carb On Carb: “Sad, loud and angry” Sydney duo Hannahband are mid-way through a New Zealand tour with Auckland’s Carb On Carb, which sees them play shows in Christchurch, Wellington and Auckland over the coming days. Get the full rundown via their Facebook page.

Blind Boy Paxton: Jerron “Blind Boy” Paxton is taking his brand of old-timey blues songs around the country for four dates this weekend. The multi-instrumentalist, based out of Southern California, plays Auckland tonight before heading south for shows in Lyttleton, Wellington and Havelock North. More here.

The Beths: With their new EP Warm Blood out this week, Auckland four-piece band The Beths release are throwing a release party at Whammy Bar on Friday night. They’ll be joined by Beach Pigs, Charlie Freak and Being. Entry is $10 on the door.
