Four people have been arrested after two ram raids and a pursuit in Hawke's Bay.
Just before 1am on Monday a vehicle reported stolen was used used to break into a shop on Emerson Street, Napier.
A short time later another shop on the same street was broken into and items were taken.
Police later received reports of a vehicle leaving a business in Hastings and pursued it through the city.
They said objects were thrown out of the vehicle at officers.
The vehicle was spiked in Hastings and lost its left rear tyre but continued to Napier where it was eventually stopped, police said.
Three youths and a 19-year-old were taken into custody.
