Three people have died in a skydiving accident at Mission Beach, south of Cairns.

Paramedics said they were called out just after 3:00pm to Alexander Drive where two men and one woman were found deceased.
A local resident said three people had fallen onto the lawn of a property on the street, about 1.5 kilometres north of the usual landing site.
Queensland Police said the two men were aged in their 30s and the woman in her 50s.
"Initial investigations indicate that a solo skydiver may have collided with tandem skydivers ... mid-air with their parachutes failing to deploy correctly," a police statement said.
A spokesman for the Civil Aviation Safety Authority said although the investigation was in its early stages, it did appear the crash was a mid-air collision.
Brad Turner from the Australian Parachuting Federation said an investigator from the organisation was already in Mission beach assisting with investigations.
Located halfway between Cairns and Townsville, Mission Beach attracts backpackers making their way down the Queensland coast, and multiple companies offer skydiving in the area.
