Eight men and two women died. One person in their 50s, one person in their 60s, two people in their 70s, five people in their 80s and one person in their 90s.
There are 1266 people in hospital in New South Wales, 244 of them are in intensive care units, with 118 requiring support of some kind.
NSW Health Minister Brad Hazzard said 82.5 percent of people in the state have now had their first dose of a vaccination, while 53 percent have had a double dose.
Seventy percent of people need to have had a double dose of the vaccination before the state lifts its restrictions.
Victoria records 603 new cases after protests against mandatory vaccinations
Victoria has recorded 603 new locally acquired Covid-19 cases and one death.
Health authorities are yet to reveal how many of the new cases are linked to existing outbreaks.
The cases were detected from 48,829 test results received on Monday, when the state delivered 40,811 vaccine doses at state-run sites.
It comes after violent brawls erupted during demonstrations yesterday in the CBD, as more than 500 people gathered outside the Construction, Forestry, Maritime, Mining and Energy Union headquarters on Elizabeth Street rallying against mandatory vaccinations.
The union said while some construction workers were present, the protests were fuelled by far-right anti-lockdown activists.
Thousands of construction workers in metropolitan Melbourne and some parts of regional Victoria have been stood down in the wake of the protests, which police responded to with rubber bullets and multiple arrests.
All construction workers must have had at least one Covid-19 vaccine dose in order to work on site after 11.59pm Thursday.
Meanwhile, the ACT has recorded 16 new local Covid-19 cases and at least 11 of them were infectious while in the community. Seven of the new cases are unable to be linked to other known cases.
There have been no new cases of locally transmitted Covid-19 in Western Australia and Queensland.
