The deaths take the toll from the current outbreak to 305.

There are 702 people in hospital with Covid-19, including 80 on a ventilator.

It's the lowest daily case count in a month for Victoria.

The new cases were found from 56,768 test results processed on Saturday and brings the number of active infections in the state to 22,013.

The state has now officially passed a milestone of having 80 per cent of the population aged 16 and above having received both doses of a Covid-19 vaccine.

Restrictions lifted on Friday afternoon, a day ahead of the target being hit.

Attention has now turned to the proportion of Victorians aged 12 and above who are fully vaccinated.

Once 90 per cent of that cohort is protected, there will be a widespread lifting of restrictions across the state.

In New South Wales, 177 new cases were reported and one death.
