Having never to been to a funeral, AUT radio student Siobhan Cuthill visits a funeral home to find out what happens behind the scenes, and hear why those in the industry find satisfaction in their profession.
About the creator
Siobhan Cuthill is a Bachelor of Communications Studies graduate from AUT, majoring in Radio and minoring in Screen and Television.
Born and raised in South Auckland, she has a passion for music, appreciates reading a good book and spending time with her friends and family.
She also loves a good Netflix binge, but can also be found spending the day at the beach in sunny weather.
Despite never having attended a funeral, Siobhan focused her radio documentary on 19-year-old Abby Sillence, whom she had known for years.
Siobhan was interested in what inspired Abby at her age to become an embalmer and funeral director, and explores this in the documentary.
