Air NZ looking into hydrogen powered planes

Air New Zealand is spreading its environmental wings and will investigate the viability of hydrogen-powered aircraft.

Our national carrier has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with global corporation Airbus.

The two organisations will combine to research the specific challenge of operating zero-emission hydrogen craft in Aotearoa.

Air New Zealand chief operational integrity and safety officer Captain David Morgan spoke to Susie Ferguson.
