Cycling NZ Chair wants traumatised athletes to speak up

Cycling New Zealand chairperson Phil Holden wants athletes traumatised by its high performance programme to come forward.

This follows the latest investigation which has found the organisation failed to act on recommendations from a review four years ago that warned the programme had a culture of bullying and poor behaviour.

The report was commissioned by Cycling New Zealand and High Performance Sport New Zealand after the suspected suicide of cyclist Olivia Podmore last year.

Holden spoke to Susie Ferguson.
