Professor Hala Zreiqat is a visionary in the field of biomaterials and tissue engineering.
She has invented the world's first 3D printed porous synthetic bone - the replacement body part mimics the mechanical strength of bone and may also promote bone growth.
Earlier this month the Professor of Biomedical Engineering at Sydney University was awarded an Order of Australia.
