Percussionist Justin DeHart has a new album out on the Rattle label: Towards Midnight.
It's his second album of New Zealand percussion music and includes works by Gareth Farr, John Psathas, Antonia Barnett-McIntosh and Phil Dadson.
RNZ Concert's Bryan Crump spoke with Justin DeHart about some of the instruments and techniques used in the music, which he recorded and mastered himself.
