Fiona Pardington is one of New Zealand’s most important, and celebrated, photographers. A Beautiful Hesitation is the largest exhibition of her work to date, with over 100 photographs, spanning 30 years. It's showing at City Gallery, Wellington. Fiona and her brother Neil, also a photographer, speak about their close collaboration over 30 years.

Andrew Gourlay makes his debut with the Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra tonight conducting a programme called French Twist. Named by Gramophone magazine as their 'One to Watch', the young conductor compares the sensual and ecstatic music of Claude Debussy’s Prélude à l’Après-midi d’un Faun with the claustrophobia of the Bahamas where he grew up.
