    Willie Manson, born in Dunedin in 1896 and killed in action during the First World War, became an acclaimed and award-winning composer in Britain yet his existence has been virtually forgotten and apart from six recently rediscovered songs, all his compositions have disappeared.

    Peter Downes tells the extraordinary story of this remarkably gifted young man and David Griffiths sings the songs with David Vine at the piano (RNZC)
