Kristjan Järvi
Visitors to his childhood home included Rostropovich, Oistrakh, Khachaturian and Arvo Pärt
Kristjan Järvi likens his family's exit from Soviet occupied to the events of a spy-novel. He was seven when the family arrived in the and went on to study at the Manhattan School of Music. Now an international conductor in his own right, Kristjan Järvi was in earlier this year for the NZ International Arts Festival and talked with David Morriss (RNZ)
