Mahsa and Marjan Vahdat: Songs from a Persian Garden
Songs from a Persian Garden is a private recording of a charity concert held in the garden of the Italian Embassy residence in Tehran, in May 2007. Sisters Mahsa and Marjan Vahdat were joined by musicians from Iran and Norway in a performance of contemporary arrangements of traditional Persian texts. The concert was an important milestone in recent Iranian history, breaking the ban on public performances by women (Kirkelig Kulturverskted FXCD 320)
