    Revered as the most eminent modern flute player in the Carnatic (South Indian) tradition, Dr Natesan Ramani performs a music style that is rooted in the religious traditions of south India

    Also performing is Manjiri Kelkar who has only recently shot to stardom as India's finest young classical singer. Belonging to the Jaipur Atrauli gharana tradition she has a melodious voice and a fine sense of intonation that saw her awarded the first Bismillah Khan Award in 2007 (RNZ) (Programme 6 Tues 11.00pm)
