    Fifteen years after its debut at Jazz at Lincoln Center, the Wynton Marsalis Septet reunites for a reaffirmantion of his first commissioned piece for JALC. In this House, On this Morning takes the form of a church service, packing brimstone, fire and a "Sweet Embrace" in the hands of drummer Herlin Riley, saxophonists Wess "Warmdaddy" Anderson and Todd Williams, trombonist Wycliffe Gordon and "Swing Doom", bassist Reginald Veal. With Marsalis on trumpet they give old Joshua some stiff competition in Call to Prayer, In this House, Altar Call and more (Murray Street Productions)

    Nordik Tree: Scandinavian folk music

    Nordik Tree is a collaboration between Swedish fiddler Hans Kennemark, and two members of Finnish fiddle ensemble JPP, harmonium player Timo Alakotila and fiddler Arto Järvelä. It's a collection of Swedish and Finnish polskas, menuetts, wedding tunes and other folk pieces, along with some more recent compositions by Kennemark and Järvelä (OArt Music OArtCD 004, OArtCD 006)
