    7:00 APO New Zealand Composers' Concert

    In September 2008, the Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra held its annual Composers' Workshop. Six composers, David Hamilton, Anthony Ritchie, Jeff Lin, Anthony Young, Penny Dodd and Matthew Crawford, had written vocal pieces which were worked on by NZ Opera Dame Malvina Major Emerging Artists and the orchestra with conductor Hamish McKeich. William Dart attended the workshops and talked to the composers, singers and conductor (RNZ)

    Then in April 2009, the six works were given their first public performance at a special concert in the Auckland Town Hall by the Auckland Philharmonia/Hamish McKeich
