    Describing their style as 'Chinagrass', Mongolian folk band Hanggai performs their own adaptations of traditional songs from the Mongolian grasslands. The band's made up of young musicians from Beijing and the Chinese province of Inner Mongolia, and was formed after leader Ilchi (former front man for a punk band) was inspired by some traditional overtone singing he heard (World Music Network INTRO111CD)
