    A repeat broadcast of our major series marking the life and work of NZ astronomer Beatrice Hill Tinsley. This year marks the 70th anniversary of her birth and the 30th anniversary of her early death.

    Her research into the Evolution of Galaxies made her a giant of 20th century astronomy. Throughout her life Beatrice played her violin and wrote home to her family.
