    Founded by vocalist and oud player Stefan Sablie, Shira u'tfila is a multi-ethnic ensemble that performs music from the Judeo-Spanish, Ottoman-Turkish, Arabic and Balkan traditions. Biviendo en kantando (Life as a song) is based on the earliest existing recordings of Sephardic music, recorded mainly in Istanbul, Thessaloniki and New York from 1907 to the 1920s (Music & Words MWCD 4063)
