    (3) Farafina

    Farafina, the music and dance group from Burkina Faso, was established in 1978 by balafon player Mahama Konaté. The West African band weaves forceful rhythms on djembes, tama and baras, while melodies are shared amongst balafons, flutes and koras. And there's the contemporary sound of guitar and keyboard in the mix as well (RNZ)
