    Our annual countdown has been brought forward!

    We asked you to nominate your favourite orchestral works and those with the most votes make up fourteen hours of programme today, culminating in a live concert.

    At 8.00pm the Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra will take to the stage of the Auckland Town Hall to reveal and perform the most popular works, conducted by Eckehard Stier and presented by John Campbell. Tune in to hear the results of New Zealand's only survey of current tastes in classical music (RNZ)

    (The whole programme will be repeated in its usual slot on New Year's Day)
