    (15) Elias secures a plane out of Leningrad. He'll meet with Shostakovich and travel to see Sonya. Nina Bronnikova listens to the dress rehearsal which goes well. She gives Elias a portrait of Shostakovich and goes back to his apartment where they lie together before the concert. Shostakovich sends a good luck telegram and Elias enters the hall, ready to conduct the first performance of the Leningrad Symphony, which will be broadcast to the world (RNZ)
