    IRVING BERLIN (1888-1989)

    Irving Berlin's career began in the golden age of Vaudeville. In 1914, he was the first American songwriter to write a whole show for Broadway, and in the Roaring Twenties his music was part of the famous Ziegfeld Follies. Some of today's music is from historic recordings, but we'll also hear from Julie London, Dame Kiri, and the Musical Island Boys (RNZ)
