  • 12:00 AM. Music Through the Night

    On the Fiddle

A rare chance to tour the vaults of the Music Crime Bureau. Our guide, Steve Danby, will expose shams, subterfuge and careless use of music.

    (1) A discrete modern tower block in the picturesque London area of Millbank marks the home of the Music Crime Bureau of MI5. Much of the Music Crime Bureau's work is routine - assessing compliance with Scheveningen Agreement on Exposition Repeats, or collecting data for the International Atomic Energy Agency's Dangerous Soprano Register. Beneath the Music Crime Bureau's offices lurks the Black Museum. Here are recorded details of musical crimes dating back to the times of Elizabeth the First and the Court of Star Chamber Ensembles. In this programme, with the special approval of M, Steve Danby introduces us to some of the most infamous crimes from the annals of the Music Crimes Bureau (RNZ)
