The Solomon Islands Finance Minister says the country's economy is expected to grow by 3.5 percent this year.
Manasseh Sogavare laid out this forecast to parliament yesterday as he presented the US$500-million 2018 national budget.
Mr Sogavare said the growth is to be driven by improved agricultural activities, as well as growth in the fisheries and logging sectors.
According to Solomon Islands Broadcasting Commission, manufacturing, construction and utilities sectors are also expected to contribute to the growth.
