Co-operation in agriculture and fishing have been the subject of talks during the French Polynesian president's visit to New Zealand this week.

The French Polynesian government says Edouard Fritch has been meeting the ministers of fisheries and agriculture as well as the minister in charge of regional development.

Discussions have centred around fisheries and environmental protection, biosecurity and the export of quality organic agricultural products.

The French Polynesian government says Mr Fritch and New Zealand's regional development minister Shane Jones reaffirmed their commitment to more collaboration.
