Peter McIlwaine
Peter McIlwaine's radio broadcasting career is more than 50 years strong, with his voice recognisable across Australia and New Zealand. He joined RNZ to host the All Night Programme on RNZ National since 2017 and on occasion does voice training for new RNZ staff.
Peter says he loves the intimacy of overnight radio, which requires the host to be entertaining, informative and to be a friend to their listeners.
Outside of his radio work, Peter is an avid reader, walker, amateur chef, traveller and family man.
