Friday marks the 125th anniversary of the eruption of Mt Tarawera. Commemoration ceremonies include a talk about the latest GNS exploration of Lake Rotomahana which uncovered the bottom of the Pink and White Terraces which were destroyed by the volcano. Cornel de Ronde is the GNS geologist who led the team.
