Sandy has had an extensive association with the media - from behind the microphone to behind the cameras, from online, to offline, to Frontline, she has worked in radio and television for most of her career.
She is no stranger to Afternoons with Jim Mora, having worked as a producer for the programme. In more recent months she has been a regular guest on The Panel.
The other love of her life are her nine year old twins.

2:10 Apple and Pear tree-burning protests in Australia
Apple and pear growers in Victoria have held a mass rally burning dead trees to symbolise what they say will happen to their industry when the ban on NZ apples is lifted
About 2 thousand people gathered in Greater Shepparton to protest against the relaxation of restrictions against apples imported from New Zealand.
Their concern is that the New Zealand apples will bring the disease, fire blight among them.
One who took part in lighting the giant bonfire was Greater Shepparton Mayor, Councillor Geoff Dobson.
2:20 The proposed Hokitika Rimu Treetop Walk
Westland District Council Mayor, Maureen Pugh, is backing a plan to create a walk through natic West Coast forest. The walk will be 30 meters above the forest-floor. If the development is approved construction could start as early as March 2012.
Estimates are that it'll bring about 7 million dollars into the local economy and around 175,000 visitors to the area.
