3:20 Southern story: geoducks - the next big thing?
Aquaculture scientist for Cawthron Institute, Kevin Heasman, has been awarded for his work in researching a viable industry for geoduck – a native clam with a startling resemblance to a part of human anatomy. It's early days for the geoduck (pronounced 'gooey duck'), but Sage Forest discovers they have a lot going for them, in a visit to the Hatchery in Nelson.
