2:10 The Astronaut - Marsha Ivins
We hear from female astronaut, Marsha Ivins - veteran of five space shuttle missions - and just retired after travelling almost 27 million miles in space over more than 55 days. Marsha's in New Zealand next week for some guest speaking engagements.
2:20 The Bike Racer - Corey Bertelsen of Muriwai Beach blasts off like a rocket when he rides his 250cc motorcycle. He's just broken two world land speed records at the famous Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah where Burt Munro famously set a record on his 1920 Indian motorcycle that still stands today. Bertelson clocked in at 214.53 kilometres an hour to set the 250cc gas world record. More than 500 other racers were there to pursue records. He smashed other records a few days later at the American Motorcyclist Association nationals. But now he's back in New Zealand and back at his day job as a plumber.
