1:20 Congestion charges for Auckland to be announced

It's expected that next week the government is going to unveil plans for a congestion charge in the country's largest city, Auckland.

Jesse speaks to Matt Lowrie, the editor of transport and urban design blog, Greater Auckland, about whether the charge will lead to any meaningful change in motorists' habits.

1:40 Governor's Bay Jetty to be rebuilt after the community took ownership of it

The Governor's Bay community weren't going to accept a Christchurch council decision to close the 140 year old jetty following earthquake damage in 2011.

Back in 2015 the council decided at a meeting that it wasn't interested in saving the 300 metre long structure and instead were getting ready to demolish it.

Instantly at that meeting a group emerged, hellbent on restoring the iconic landmark, buying it from the council for a dollar.

Work will start on the transformation of the jetty in August this year. Nick Harwood's part of the group and handily a geotechnical engineer, he talks to Jesse about the project.

2:20 Another round of Come Together performances, a preview

For this week's music feature we're going to zero in on a very special concert series set to return to Wellington, Christchurch, and Auckland in July.

Titled 'Come Together', the shows bring together a supergroup of Kiwi musicians to celebrate a chosen album.

Next up, it's the Fleetwood Mac classic 'Rumours' from 1977.

Dianne Swann, will be lending her incredible voice to the shows. She talks to Jesse about covering the iconic album.
