1:15 The health of NZ's estuaries now online
There are more than 300 estuaries along the coastlines of mainland Aotearoa, and offshore islands. The Land, Air and Water Aotearoa Project - LAWA for short - is a partnership that monitors the health of these diverse bodies of water. They've set up 400 monitoring sites across 80 estauries. As of this week, you can see all the results from estaury health check-ups online. Jesse speaks to Science lead Dr Tarn Drylie.

The Department of Conservation is facing the reality that some of our Great Walks may have to be rerouted and their huts relocated. Many of the walks have found themselves closed over the past few years due to the impacts of extreme weather caused by climate change, something that isn't expected to slow down any time soon.
