The Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment is seeking public input on the future of space science in New Zealand.

Specific areas they're looking for consultation on include a strategy for building our aerospace sector, the use of satellites, security, and space exploration,

The resulting 'Aerospace Strategy' will aim to further grow our aerospace sector into a thriving internationally competitive one.

1:25 Historical piano looking for a new home

A colonial Hopkinson grand piano that once lived at the iconic Athfield house in Wellington is looking for a new home.

The piano dates all the way back to the 1880s and has spent the last few years dismantled at Aratoi Wairarapa Museum of Art and History.

It's not in the best condition, which is why the museum are looking for a cultural institution to collect it and bring it back to life. Aratoi's collection curator Jo Torr talks to Jesse.

1:35 'Smart cow' technology allows cows to herd themselves

New technology has been developed to automate some of the most critical tasks of the day on a dairy farm.

Developed by Craig Piggot, the 'smart cow' halter gives farmers the ability to pair the live stock via an app which enables the herds to be moved remotely.

For NZ Sports History today we're looking at the incredible record-setting win of the 1989 Japan Cup by Kiwi-bred horse Horlicks.

Back then the Japan Cup offered the world's largest cash prize and was one of the most prestigious races in the world.

Her win also highlighted the skill of her team - she was trained by Dave O'Sullivan and ridden by his son Lance O'Sullivan.
