1:15 Wheelchair accessible garden tours

Being wheelchair friendly isn't always a consideration on a garden tour  but it's something organisers of this weekend's Auckland Garden DesignFest are out to change.

They've introduced a traffic light system for the 18 professionally-designed private gardens which will be on display, to let wheelchair users know just how accessible they are.

And for the first time the tour will include a very special garden created specifically with wheelchair access in mind.

Debbie Hardy is the Chief Organiser of Garden DesignFest, she talks to Jesse.

3:35 Critter of the Week: Antarctic sea pig

This week's critter is the Antarctic sea pig - a rotund pink sea cucumber that lives on the muddy seafloor of the Ross Sea.

Sea pigs are like living vacuum cleaners for the ocean. They spend their days ambling about on their many legs, hoovering up delicious decaying matter with their feathery tentacles.
