Dunedin Wildlife Hospital recently achieved a world first, incubating and hatching Hoiho, yellow eyed penguin eggs in the hospital.

Unfortunately with their population steadily declining it's one of those instances humans have to step in to help out.

The result is eight happy and healthy hoiho chicks.

He then jumped an estimated 38km from space back to earth. In doing so, he broke the speed of sound and the highest skydive record that had lasted more than 50 years.
