1:15 Vineyards in Hawke's Bay impacted for years to come

One of the many concerns following cyclone damage in Hawkes Bay is the effect on local growers.

The region is known for stone and pip fruit as well as grapes, the crop that has made Hawkes Bay red in particular famous around the world.

So what will be the impact of flood damage on this year's vintage and production in years to come?

1:45 Dare to Do it Tour down under, 'Escape to the Chateau' personal show

It's a long way from northern France to here down under, but that's the trip Dick and Angel Strawbridge of Escape to the Chateau fame have made for their fans in this part of the world.

If you're not familiar with their programme, it's been running on air since 2016 when they moved from the UK to Château de la Motte-Husson and embarked on a massive restoration project.

Originally uninhabitable the pair have spent the past 8 years transforming the property and creating a successful special events business out of their hard work.

New Zealand writer Joanne Drayton has made a name for herself writing about other people: Crime Writer Dame Edith Ngaio Marsh, beloved chefs Hudson and Halls and Anne Perry, AKA Juliet Hulme from the infamous Christchurch Parker-Hulme murder case.  Now she's telling her own story. The story of two women who met by chance, came out as lesbians in the 1990's, and risked everything to be together. Her new book shares the moves, countermoves, victories and defeats that define  the lives of Drayton and her partner. The memoir is called The Queen's Wife.
