1:15 A shoe box full of gifts
Thousands of children around the country will have a merrier Christmas this year thanks to the Christmas shoebox project.
It's organised by the Catalytic Foundation and its CEO Teresa Moore joins Jesse to talk about the appeal.
1.25 Pita Sharples' dedication to the arts recognised
Pita Sharples (Ngāti Kahungunu) has been recognised by the Arts Foundation as one our most significant artists.
At a ceremony at Government House last week, Pita was awarded with the Arts Foundations Icon Award Whakamana Hiranga for 2024.
Ta Pita was honored for his lifetime's work, including reviving and revitalising the arts of Kapa Haka and Mau Rākau going back to the 1960s.
1.35 A trip to see the Kaimanawa horses
A couple of weekends ago, bus-loads of people had the chance to see Kaimanawa horses in the wild.
Over three days people headed out onto the Waiouru Military Training area, just off the Desert road to see terrain they've never encountered, and horses running free.
