For those petrol heads out there, who remembers the original Land Rover?

It turns out that one of the earliest ever made - number 20 in fact - still has some grunt in the old engine. This beautiful machine is about to embark on a road trip to raise funds for Manaaki Manawa - The Centre for Heart Research.

Julian Paton is the proud owner of this 1948 classic, and he talks all things Land Rover with Jesse.

1:35 The op shop that is overflowing with volunteers

At a time when more and more people are looking for paid work, Marion Waterland is never short of volunteers at the op shop she manages in Napier.

Marion converted the former pizza parlour into the Fine Feathers Op Shop in order to raise funds for her friend's bird rescue charity.

But the volunteers aren't just there to support a good cause - it's a way to make friends, to feel a part of something - to feel valued.

1:45 Great album: Enter Now Brightness by Nadia Reid

Out on February 7 the fourth album by Nadia Reid will be released. The album is an assessment of the past ten years. As she says it is a reassessment of the past: "You have points in life that when you look back you see were a time of almost cellular change," she says; a realisation now that so many of these new songs have been drawn from the times when "all my cells were changing."
