1:10 Aotearoa's playgrounds mapped and searchable
The first term of school wraps up this week and if you're looking for things to do with the kids during the holidays, we've got the app for you.
It's a web-based app called 'NZ Playground Explorer', and it maps more than 3500 playgrounds across New Zealand.
A great feature of the map is that it's filterable, so if you want to look for a playgrounds with flying foxes or make sure there's enough shade, you can find all that info before you leave the house.
It's a joint venture between Lottery Health, Cancer Society of New Zealand, and the University of Otago, and was created by Dr Bronwen McNoe from the Department of Preventive and Social Medicine.

1:20 How to save wetlands
In Otago a muddy pond on a patch of private farmland has been turned into a thriving, legally protected wetland in just two years.
The Thomsons Catchment Project is a community-lead mission initially to improve the water quality.
Enthusiastic teams of volunteers dug out the land, planted 41,000 native plants, and fostered the return of native species like the black billed gull and long finned eel - and now it's attained protection status from QEII.
Nicola McGrouther is the project manager with decades of experience in restoring catchments on farms.

1:35 Mr Plough
Last weekend, Southland crop farmer Mark Dillon won his fourth New Zealand conventional ploughing title at the NZ Ploughing Championships.
After winning out in tough conditions, Mark now has a trip to the World Championships in Croatia in 2026 to look forward to.
A dominant performer in his field, Mark has done plenty of travelling in his time and because of the way qualifying works, he's already booked his place at the 70th World Ploughing Contest in the Czech Republic later this year.

1:45 Great album: SABLE, fABLE by Bon Iver
Today we are playing link 3 as per usual and if you reach the heights of human achievement and guess the link, here's what you will win.
A lovely vinyl copy of SABLE, fABLE the new album by American musical project Bon Iver.
Masterminded by indie rock musican Justin Vernon this is Bon Iver's first full album in six years.
It came about after Vernon was snowed in for a few days in a recording studio in Wisconsin in 2022.
It's been hinted that this might be the last outing for the Bon Iver project. Press for the album calls it an epilogue.

2:30 NZ Sporting History: Tuariki Delamere
For today's sporting history we're going back to 1974. A fleeting moment - less than 11 seconds - when track & field bumped into gymnastics. A splash of magic happened and a boy from Papakura came inches away from revolutionising the long jump.
That boy was Tuariki Delamere. And that magic was the Delamere flip.
A short lived - and quickly banned - long jump technique. It involved doing a summersault mid jump.
Tuariki joins Jesse to talk through his amazing career.
