A leading pain specialist is warning medicinal cannabis gives ''false hope'' for chronic pain relief.
Professor Milton Cohen is a specialist pain medicine physician based in Sydney, and he says there's not enough proof, that medicinal cannabis helps patients with chronic non-cancer pain. Professor Cohen gave a talk at the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists annual meeting in Brisbane on the weekend, called Medicinal cannabis for chronic non-cancer pain: promise or pothole?
